Covid-19 Response

Covid-19 Response

Manchester Taxis & Minibuses continues to provide high quality professional transfer services. To ensure the safety of our drivers and passengers, we have put in place additional measures in line with the government guidelines.

Passenger Advice

We would advise our valued passengers to take the following precautions when traveling with us during the covid-19 pandemic. Our advice is based on UK Government guidelines for the transport business.

  • We advise you not to travel with us if you are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus Covid-19.
  • All passengers should wear face masks whilst in our vehicles unless they have a valid exemption as per local laws.
  • Our drivers sanitize and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces before every pick up to ensure passenger safety. With driver's permission, you can use your own sanitiser or wipes on surfaces you are likely to touch during the ride for your extra peace of mind.
  • Maintain physical distance from the drivers and don't shake hands with them.
  • Always use the back seats when possible. Avoid sitting next to the driver in the front seat.
  • Avoid touching any part of your face.
  • Use Contactless Payments in the cab. Avoid Cash handling.

Driver Advice

We advise all our drivers to take the following precautions while fulfilling your transfer requests. These precautions are in line with the UK Government guidelines for Coronavirus Covid-19.

  • Drivers who are not feeling well or are showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus Covid 19 will not be allowed to work for 14 days. They should report this to our office as soon as possible.
  • Drivers must use face masks while fulfilling transfers.
  • Drivers should sanitise and disinfect all frequently touched services in the cabin for passenger safety.
  • Allow external ventilation of the vehicle by keeping the windows slightly open where possible throughout the journey.
  • Ask permission from the passenger when loading and unloading the luggage.
  • Always use gloves if asked to load and unload the passenger luggage.
  • Maintain physical distance from your passenger. Don't shake their hands to greet them and always advise them to use the back seats instead of the front ones.
  • Wash or sanitise your hands regularly and avoid touching any part of your face during the shift.
  • Drivers are well within their rights to refuse a pick up if passenger(s) are showing signs of being unwell or symptoms of Covid-19.
  • Drivers can also decline a pick up if passengers refuse to wear a face mask in the vehicle unless they have an exemption due to medical conditions.
